The KUC Pre-university programme is non-tertiary programme designed for WASSCE graduates who are unable to meet the minimum requirement for direct entry into universities (i.e. 6 credit passes including core English Language and core Mathematics).
Pre-University Certificate Programmes:
Certificate in Business Studies
Certificate in Computer Applications
Certificate in Chinese Language
Certificate in Applied Sciences
The programme comprises of the following ;
1. Remedial Programme:
Students will be taken through intensive remedial classes in any combination of 4 WASSCE subjects (i.e. core and elective) this is to enable them
a. Better or rectify their WASSCE grades
b. satisfy NAB internal assessment and progression requirements.
2. Degree Programme:
Students will also have an opportunity to study all level 100 courses of the KUC degree programme while pursuing the certificate programme.
To qualify for graduation from the Pre-University programme and progress to Level 200 of the degree programme, students are required to pass all their WASSCE re-sit subjects, pass and obtain 30 credits in the KUC degree courses and must attain a minimum of 60 credits (WASSCE Internal Assessment + KUC Degree courses)
