
THE VICE PRESIDENT
Dr. Simon Peter Tsekpo is an accomplished higher education administrator, researcher, and academic leader with over eighteen years of professional experience spanning university governance, academic management, and institutional development. He currently serves as Vice President of Kings University College, Accra, where he provides strategic leadership in academic planning, curriculum development, faculty recruitment, institutional governance, finance, and administration.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Tsekpo served the University in various senior capacities, including Registrar, Business Development Director, and Residential Manager. In these positions, he successfully coordinated accreditation processes, supervised academic value-chain management, facilitated student recruitment strategies, and ensured compliance with statutory and institutional policies. Beyond the academic environment, he also held management roles in the hospitality sector, including General Manager of the Royal Atlantic Resort in Accra.
Dr. Tsekpo holds two doctoral degrees in Management. His first PhD, awarded by LIUTEBM University in Zambia (2023), focused on Corporate Governance and Banks’ Capitalisation in Anglophone ECOWAS Countries. His second PhD, from IIC University of Technology in Cambodia (2025), examined The Impact of Governance on Sustainability of Banks in West Africa. He also holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from Shobhit University, India, an MBA from the University of Worcester, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Science in Administration (Banking and Finance) from the University of Ghana, Legon. In addition, he earned a Master of Arts in Administration in Higher Education from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, where he is currently pursuing an MPhil in Administration in Higher Education.
His research interests lie in corporate governance, higher education administration, institutional sustainability, and the financial systems of West Africa. He has published extensively in reputable peer-reviewed journals, contributing to scholarly discourse on governance, culture, financial sector development, and organizational performance.
